Since a young age, Mark has always had a passion for athletics and was captivated by movement at a very young age. This led him to be a multi-sport athlete that competed at both a provincial and national level. Although these accomplishments were a great learning experience, it wasn’t until he was faced with a career-ending injury in his knee that made him realize he needed to make some serious changes to his training and lifestyle.

The passion to define total human optimization was ignited by these events and that fire burns brighter with each passing year. Mark is relentless about his approach to training and lifestyle management and lives life by example to make sure he is offering the highest tier of service. His approach is on the cutting edge of science and seen by many as alternative and holistic. 

Mark specializes in the Functional Patterns training modality and is an accredited Human Biomechanics Specialist in the organization. This approach looks at the body as an integrated whole rather than a sum of its parts. Furthermore, this approach works to improve one’s movement, pain, and habits to create a higher standard of living and build congruency between the mind and body.

After spending almost a decade in the constantly evolving fitness industry I have learned the one thing that will always remain true is  in order to reach your fitness goal you need to  work on every contributing factor, 

Including but not limited to Nutrition, Mobility, Flexibility, Resistance Training, and Cardiovascular Training

With this in mind, our focus at In Shape has always been to continue to learn as much as we can about how the entire body works and assist each individual with all of their health and fitness areas.


Our passion for continued education coupled with having helped such a wide variety of people over the years in everything from older adult training, injury rehabilitation, nutrition, stretch therapy, competitive weight lifting, advanced sports conditioning and more…

It gives us the ability to truly understand what you need to be successful and help you exceed your expectations of what you are capable of.

In-Shape truly believes that there is always a better way to train.
